Grano will be participating in the annual Joulupuu Christmas campaign again this year. Supporting children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds at a national level is important to Grano and a matter close to our hearts. This way, we are able to bring joy and hope to the Christmas season.
Grano will participate in the Joulupuu ry campaign as a national partner. Grano will print gift tags for local volunteers organising Joulupuu campaign collections. The gift tags will be used to write down children's and young people's Christmas wishes and decorate the trees at collection points around Finland.
"As a national and regional printing industry player, we are happy to be able to support children and young people across Finland. It is also gratifying to provide tangible help in the form of printed gift tags," says Mika Vihervuori, CEO of Grano.
Joulupuu ry is a non-profit organisation that works with disadvantaged children and young people. The funds raised will be used to enable Joulupuu's charitable work and to promote Joulupuu campaign activities.
"The cooperation with Grano is really important for Joulupuu ry, as we need a lot of gift tags every year! Being able to provide our local organisers with free gift tags frees up their resources for aid work and reduces stress for local volunteers. Grano helps us focus on what is important – helping children and young people all over Finland!" Executive Director Doris Tuohimaa from Joulupuu ry says.
Last year, Joulupuu received over 690,000 euros in donations and distributed 52,504 gifts to children and young people. Joulupuu operates in over one hundred locations in Finland. The Joulupuu Christmas campaign and the eJoulupuu campaign collect gifts for children and young people who are clients of child welfare and special support services.
